About

Personality
(Stubborn and Loud) (Cocky and Sarcastic) (Charming and Laid Back) (Loud and Extroverted) (Self-conscious and Honest) (Strategic and Smart) (Empathetic and Thoughtful)

(Stubborn and Loud)
When Aiolos believes she is right, no one will prove her wrong as far as she's concerned. She will state her opinion and stick to it, making sure everyone knows what her standpoint on a situation is.

(Cocky and Sarcastic)
Aiolos seems like a bit of a know-it-all, even though she might not always be. She is very sarcastic and sometimes tends to make other cats feel like she is undermining them, however this is usually not her intention. She typically acts the way she does just for comedic reasons, but other cats tend to feel differently.

(Charming and Laid Back)
Aiolos has an excellent way with words that most cats don't have. She can easily charm others and make herself seem funny and laid back.

(Loud and Extroverted)
Aiolos loves company. Living on her own for so long has caused her to crave other cats, their voices, anything about them. She hates being alone, but she will be if she's in the mood. Sometimes being around so many other cats can be overwhelming to her.

(Self-conscious and Honest)
Aiolos is almost obnoxiously honest about her own personal life. She won't be honest about others, though. Her lack of contact with other cats for so long has left her wanting to please most anybody; she secretly fears abandonment. She will be open about her own life just to make sure everyone knows she's not a liar.

(Strategic and Smart)
Aiolos is very good at coming up with strategies for hunts, battles, and even simple things like games. Once she comes up with a strategy, she thinks she knows it will work, so she usually won't take advice from anyone else.

(Empathetic and Thoughtful)
Aiolos can usually tell how other cats are feeling just by looking at them. In a situation, she knows when certain cats are uncomfortable, some are angry or annoyed, or others are excited, even if they don't show it on the outside. If in her power, she will bend the situation to make everyone content. She is very worried about what other cats are feeling.

Background

When Aiolos was born, her name was Bolt. Her mother named her that because of the freeness of lightning and the shapes on her side. Her mother was a breeder who had cubs with the strongest lynxes of the Coliseums. Bolt would be one of her mother's last litter.

The first memory Aiolos has is when they were taken to an owner to be sold and trained as fighters. As their breeder was discussing sale prices and the strength of the litter, one of her siblings, Drop, started to waddle off. "Drop, no," Bolt had hissed, trying to reach for him, but failing. "Drop, come back. We're not supposed to leave mother's side!" Her brother kept going, anyways, towards a big, dangerous-looking lynx. But the lynx wasn't what Bolt was worried about. She was scared of what came after.

Enraged with the breeder's inability to 'control his cats,' the lynx's owner sent him away, not purchasing any of the four cubs. Distraught and angry with his cats for being so disobedient, he sold them to the first man who offered him money. Bolt would never be the same again.

As they were being pulled away from their mother, Bolt looked into her eyes and she said, "If you ever get the chance, be free, darlings." She quickly told her that the big, blue-eyed lynx was her son, and Bolt's older brother. If Bolt had any chance at living, it would be the frightening lynx. She was taken away then, and that was the last time she would ever really see any part of her family for a long, long time.

Minutes after they were sold, two of her siblings were dead, sprawled out on a dusty ground and coated in scarlet. The tigers that were picking them off came after her and Drop. She couldn't let her brother die, so she leaped out in front of him. She felt a massive pain on her side and she was flying through the air, landing on her side. Pain exploded through out her whole body, and she knew she was dying. The last thing she remembers seeing before passing out was Drop slashing through a tiger's face.

When she opened her eyes again, she was laying in a twisted, uncomfortable heap of broken bones, the tangy scent of blood filling her nostrils. But she didn't care. She didn't know why she wasn't dead yet. She figured she should have been dead. She must have whimpered a bit, because suddenly someone was moving her, and she wasn't doing it herself. The movement made her sick, and she passed out again, but not before seeing her sibling's bodies left to rot in an alleyway filled with trash.

Bolt woke up again in a small abandoned building filled with rusty tools and dust. She was wrapped in clean cloths and she felt much better, but she couldn't move her leg. When she looked at it, it was put into a poorly-made stint, twisted oddly. It hurt more than anything else on her body, and she would never walk normally again. There was a bowl of water next to her, and she drank it all within seconds.

A while later, a young boy in rags snuck into the small building through a window. Bolt pressed her ears back in fear, but he just smiled and stroked her unscratched head.

This young boy would become her new owner for the next two years of her life.

He healed her and gave her a new name; Aiolos. Aiolos just called him Boy, because she didn't know any better. His parents were Coliseum cat owners, and Boy kept her a secret from them because he didn't want them to take her away into the arena to be killed. He tried his best to mend her leg, but as much as he tried, she never fully was able to walk again. Boy's uncle was a blacksmith, so when Aiolos got old enough, Boy made her a leg brace out of scrap metals. It worked perfectly, but she wasn't able to walk without it.

For two years she lived in that small building, knowing that if she left, she'd be caught. Right next to her shed, however, if she looked out the window at night, she could see the place where many cats often were hanging out. She knew she shouldn't go there, but it was so tempting. She hadn't seen another cat since those tigers, and she oftentimes thought her older brother was living with them. She didn't know what to do. One night, she tried to get a closer look.

When Aiolos was nearing her third year of life, she snuck out of her building for the first time, and got right up next to where all those fascinating cats were. She perched on the top of a building, waiting for anything to happen. It was then that she saw a familiar pelt, but not the one she had been hoping for.

It was her brother, Drop. He had lived.

Aiolos almost leaped down to greet him, to ask him how he survived and if he was free, why he wasn't living in the cages of the Coliseum. But right before she jumped down, she froze. She noticed how different he was, how he walked like he meant something to the world, how he treated the other cats around him, and how they treated him back. She caught the name "Scaeden," and decided that must have been her brother's new name. She watched him interact, watched him live, wondered if he even remembered her. She didn't go to him that night, or any nights after. But she watched. For almost half a year, she watched them every single night.

One night, Scaeden left the city. Just walked out. Aiolos didn't know what to do, if she should follow him, but the exit was guarded, and the guards seemed to almost curtosy him when he walked by. She waited for hours in the pouring rain, seeing if he would come back. And he did, bloody and followed by three other cats who were even bloodier than him. She watched him yell at one cat in particular, a jaguar. She watched as the jaguar, weak and exhausted, snapped back and stormed out of the city after being treated by the humans a bit. They had been saying things about "capturing" and "failing" and "bloody Empire rats."

It was that night that Aiolos pieced everything together. She hobbled back to her building, unsure of what to do, thinking about what her brother was taking part in. There were free cats, and he was aiming to capture them and bring them back to the human city to die.

For a few nights, she didn't go back. She didn't want to see them, ruining lives, causing death. A few days later, she heard a commotion, a few buildings away, where those evil cats usually were hanging out. First, she ignored it; it was broad daylight. But she heard her brother's name a few times and her curiosity spiked. Taking her usual perch, she gathered that Scaeden had gone out on a Hunt (she shuddered at the way they used the word), and not returned. The couple bloody cats also mentioned that the jaguar was gone, too. They didn't know what this...Soren was going to do to them.

It was a month before he returned. At first, Aiolos was happy to see him, despite all he was trying to do. She didn't want him to die. Then she saw the four cats he had with him, who didn't look too happy to be there. And there was no jaguar. She must not have made it. Scaeden seemed darker, less snarky and carefree. Aiolos watched him drag the unhappy cats into another building, which he didn't leave for another month. When he did, however, the other cats regarded him with great respect for the most part, referring to him as "leader" and "sir."

Aiolos's brother was the leader of the most evil group of cats she had ever seen. A few nights later, when Scaeden came into the city with even more Empire cats, Aiolos couldn't take it anymore. He was going too far. She had to stop him.

It didn't take long, however. The next night, Boy walked into the building to give her food and pet her a little bit, tending to her leg. When he left, it only took a few minutes before there were three cats sitting at the window, grins wider than their ears. "Well, well," one said, laughing sickeningly. Aiolos knew immediately they were part of the same group of cats her brother was leading. "Look what the little human boy led us to." "A stray, huh?" "We could use a few more cats." "A lynx, too. What a fine addition." When they saw her leg, though, they laughed even harder. "Ah, no use for a cripple." "Might as well have some fun with her, shall we?"

They slunk into her building. Aiolos, detirmined that she would one day bring an end to these cats, lashed out. The cats were surprised by her ferocity despite her injury, and they soon full-on attacked. Aiolos was fast, though, and she knew the small shed like the back of her paw. She easily got by them and out her window. Using her trail to get to the hang-out place, she found her way to the edge of the city and escaped, running to the nearest scent she could find, which happened to be Air Empire. When she got there, she made a vow that even if it was the last thing she did, she would take down the Bounty Hunters.

Extra Facts

:bulletwhite: Aiolos is very much like her brother, Scaeden, even though they did not grow up together. The major differences is that Aiolos cares about lots of other cats, not just a select few, and she is very honest about herself. Scaeden is an excellent liar and only really cares about a few cats.

:bulletwhite: Aiolos can walk without her leg brace, but there is a heavy limp and her leg seems almost loose and broken. The reason for this is because her leg is numb and useless for the most part. It can only take a bit of weight. It does not hurt her at all, but it is extremely inconvenient. Even with her brace, she limps slightly and can only run slowly for short distances.

:bulletwhite: Aiolos's scars are all over her body, but somehow her face was left untouched. It is the only place without scars.
